Your SOMA LIV Secretariat…

Scroll down to get to know us! See you soon :)

Hannah Liu

Hello! It’s great to meet you. I’m Hannah, your Secretary-General for SOMA LIV! I first volunteered for SOMA in grade 7, and now as I’m reaching graduation, I’m ecstatic to work on bringing the best possible conference to you all this year. My favourite part of Model UN is hearing all the creative ideas delegates bring to discussions. Outside of MUN, you’ll probably find me debating, losing my mind over hockey games, or trying to decipher old letters from the First World War. See you soon! :D

Secretary-General

Allison Yang

Hey everyone, I’m Allison, your Director-General this year! I started Model UN in grade 8 and served as the USG Marketing last year, and I love reading and doing my own nails. I’m so excited to meet all of you (and write your names in spreadsheets), and I'm so ready for what is going to be an amazing conference!

Director-General

Commissioner-General

Rhiya Armogan

Hello, delegates! I’m Rhiya, your Commissioner-General. I’ve been involved in MUN since Grade 7, and outside of school, I enjoy going on walks with my dog, Thyra. I’m excited to help shape this year’s committees and make SOMA a wonderful experience for everyone. If you have any concerns about accessibility during the conference, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. :)

Chief of Staff

Mathew Rundassa

Hi delegates, my name is Mathew. At SOMA 54, I will be serving as your Chief of Staff. I’ve been doing MUN for about 5 years now, going to conferences like SSUNS, UTMUN, and Oxford MUN. I love reading comics and watching slushy noobz. I hope to meet you all soon!

Deputy Chief of Staff

Halle Ma

Hi everyone! My name is Halle, and I’m so excited to be your Deputy Chief of Staff for SOMA LIV! I started my MUN journey all the way back in Grade 5 during the pandemic, back in the era of online conferences, and over the years, I’ve had so many memorable experiences and met so many new people along the way. I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone and helping make this year’s SOMA the best conference yet. Can’t wait to see you all there!

Under-Secretary General: Crisis

Jiani Li

Hey everyone! My name is Jiani, and I’m thrilled to be your USG of crisis for SOMA LIV! I’ve been doing MUN since grade 6 and I’ve genuinely met the most amazing people through it. In my free time, I love reading the same book with someone and screaming over it. This year at SOMA, I hope you all make amazing memories, meet the best people, and have so much fun. Can’t wait to see you!

Under-Secretary General: Materials

Isaac Aster

Merch, decorations, signs, and lanyards! I’m Isaac, the Materials Manager, and I’m so excited to make sure everyone has everything they need. When I’m not taking inventory in the SOMA warehouse, I’m out rock climbing and playing volleyball. Can’t wait to meet you all.

Under-Secretary General: Marketing & External Affairs

Iva Talwar

Hi, I'm Iva, a grade 11 student at the University of Toronto Schools, and I’m excited to serve as the USG of Marketing and External Affairs. Outside of MUN, I enjoy crafts, reading, and listening to and playing music. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!

Under-Secretary General: Logistics

Aaron Yang

Hi! I’m Aaron, a Grade 11 student at UTS and this year's Director of Logistics for SOMA. Most of my time is spent on saxophone and ultimate frisbee. In the Secretariat, I’m handling all the logistics to make sure everyone has a great experience at SOMA. Can’t wait to see everybody there!

Under-Secretary General: Events

Emily Chen

Hi! I’m the Events Coordinator/USG: Events! I’m so excited to make the SOMA Gala tons of fun for all the delegates! Get hype! (Fun fact about me: I can’t juggle.)
