Founded in 1972, SOMA is the world’s oldest high-school-run Model UN conference and Canada’s largest. Welcoming 650+ delegates to the University of Toronto’s St. George campus annually, SOMA’s mission is to develop delegates into mature global citizens.
Why SOMA?
SOMA has established itself as one of North America’s leading Model United Nations conferences. We aims to increase students' awareness of world issues and global relations. SOMA serves to sharpen students' analytical and debating skills while promoting an atmosphere of diplomacy, in which delegates learn the art of negotiation and compromise.
