Registration for SOMA 51 is now closed.

This year’s Southern Ontario Model United Nations Assembly will take place from April 29-May 1, 2024. We will be a fully in-person event, with all committees hosted across buildings at the University of Toronto.

To make the registration process as smooth as possible and to reserve spaces, it is recommended that the delegation form and payment be completed by January 12th, 2024. The regular registration fee is $110.00 per delegate BUT schools are encouraged to take advantage of our Early-bird rate of $90.00 - eligible between Dec 4, 2023 - Jan 26, 2024. Please note that full payment must be made at the time of registration (unless paying by cheque - see below).

Faculty Advisors should complete registration and payment on behalf of their students no later than March 8th. The Secretariat will send out country assignments by the week of March 18th. If your school has an internal application process to attend SOMA, the Secretariat recommends the deadline for applications to be set for no later than March 1st.

Note: in the event that your school needs to change the number of registered delegates, we ask that you let us know immediately so that we can make those changes. Requests for additional delegate spots will only be accepted until February 23rd so we can adequately accommodate new delegates.

The delegate fees paid to UTS in this form can be fully reimbursed until March 8th, 2024 and 50% reimbursed until March 25th, 2023. These deadlines are firm. All cancellations made after April 12th, 2024 are non-refundable. All cancellations and adjustments must be made by contacting: soma@utschools.ca.

Instructions for Cheque Payments: School cheques can be accommodated by contacting the UTS Finance Office <sherly.geronimo@utschools.ca> - Please use the subject line “SOMA Cheque”. Before emailing, please complete the registration form above. Fill out the form by providing all necessary information, but indicate the “number of delegates” as 0 (so that the form does not charge you immediately).
